Dorothy F. Brooks

Mrs. Dorothy Fleming Brooks went home to be with the Lord on Sunday November 6, 2016 in Pottstown PA. She was 96 years old. Dorothy the daughter of the late Richard Fleming and Laura Lee Fleming Gray, was born in Cumberland County, Virginia on August 27, 1920.   Early in life Dorothy accepted Christ and was baptized and fellow shipped at the Tearwallet Baptist Church Cumberland, Virginia which she supported, until her death.Dorothy met and married the love of her life the late John C. Brooks.  To this union two children were born Reginald N. and Ulysses A. Brooks. Dorothy joined Victory Christian Life Center, under the leadership of her son Pastor Reggie Brooks.  Because of her love for the Lord she was known to be an awesome prayer warrior.  She was loved by all who knew her as Mom Brooks. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her sons Reginald N. (wife Juanita L.) of Boyertown, PA and Ulysses A. (wife Glenda) of Glen Alen, Virginia, two grandchildren Demita Jackson (husband Larry) and Sherry L. Butler,  three great -grandchildren Lei’Lani Eva Jackson, Larri’ Jackson and Jordan T. Butler and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM with services to follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Pottstown New Life Assembly 902 N. Evans Street Pottstown, PA 19464.Officiating will be Pastor Reggie Brooks. The interment will be held  on Monday November 14, 2016  at Tearwallet Baptist Church Cemetery,  Cumberland County, Virginia. Please keep the family in your prayers.
